   We have an abundance of low elevation yew on the pacific coast which as been largely overlooked because of low ring counts. I am thinking more and more about trying some of the 18 to 30 ring count wood. Steve

Chris Boyton feels that English yew can be good with wide growth rings, I think density being the important factor. This may hold true for the yew you have over there as well.
