Justin Snyder:
I'm glad I'm not the only one that waits until I'm done to break my points or knives.  Good looking work.  Justin

mullet:
 Thanks Justin.

leapingbare:
Nice Save Eddie..
I dont have a problem fllooting.. i just dont know how to run the floot to the tip of the point without end snapping it.. like Folsom and comberlands.

mullet:
I've watched Claude do it a couple of ways. He always leaves the point flat and sets it up in are carved out wooded platform. He then prepares and strikes the nipple as most people do. the other way is to use a little pressure vice, forgot the name, but it's like a little lever and you just keep applying pressure until it pops.

leapingbare:
I have seen the vice.. but it dose not leave a floot flake scare thats typical of a original point.

I do have one idea.. i could make a preform 3'' longer then i need it.. so lets say 6'' total.. than knock off one good float over 1/2 down the point. than knock the 2nd float off hard enough to end snap it. take my pressure flaker and touch it up.. and wala got a 3'' Folsom.. thats the plan. i dont have a pice of rock large enough over here so I'll have to wait till i get bake to try this.
