terence pinder:
has anyone used willow for arrows?red willow grows pretty straight.

Pat B:
I have not used willow for arrows but cut some to try. I know it will work but may be lighter than I want to use. I've made arrows out of horse weed so I know willow will work.    Pat

Cromm:
I think i read "that you can use willow but it takes to bending, so you have to keep working on them......

stiknstring:
Check a field guide to be sure but I have read that in some places red willow is another name for red osier which is actually a dog wood and one of the chosen arrow shaft materials of native american tribes.
