As for the leather wrap....it's thin deer rawhide.  I cut the strip on the bandsaw when the sinew was dry, then sanded off the frayed edges, then soaked the rawhide in water for maybe an hour, applied a little fish glue to the shaft and rawhide, then wrapped the fletching.  After it dried overnight, I sanded the leading edge so it wouldn't bump against my bow hand.
