Awesome primitive arrows there Hillbilly!  Is that pine pitch mixed with charcoal or is it pine tar?

Thanks, Patrick. It's pine/spruce resin mixed with ground charcoal.

Those are beauties.  Are the feathers on the lower one tail feathers?

Thanks, Rick. Yep, those are tail feathers. They work great for the two-fletch style, nice and flat.

Here are a few modern arrows that I made, well, what is left of the set.  Poplar dowels, modern feathers red leather dye.







The whole set spined at 40 - 45 pounds.  I used modern glue and fly line backing to tie them one.
