nock leanth

Some of the old timers(even older than me  :o ) would have one ear of their nock shorter than the other and use it as an indicator and for speed loading when shooting repetitive arrows quickly. Looks kind of cool too.

I cut nocks in I think 13 arrows over the weekend. Probably averaged between 5/16" and 3/8" in depth. Six of them were river cane and I glued inserted dowels first for added support. The others were tonkin and they were almost solid core. I plan to wrap below the nocks with sinew for support.
