bamboo shafts.

On a bamboo shaft which end do you put the nock on : the small end or the larger end?The small end would let you have most of the weight around the tip with would be good right?

You got it.  Nock end is the smaller end.  It gives it a natural taper which will make it easier to shoot than parallel shafting.
