3 Rivers Hunting Trade points
Runningbear:
Thanks! I'll try making some of my own.
Brian. ;)
Pat B:
The trades from 3Rivers are not for hunting. Not legal in most states because they are less than 7/8" wide. They are, however, a fairly traditional design of trade point.
kerbinator:
Pat, what do you use to cut your circular saw blades that stuff it pretty hard.
Pat B:
I have had my best luck with a cold chisel and hammer. Score the metal and break it off. I tried a Dremil but used about 4 fiber blades on one trade point. I can buy broadheads cheaper than that. ;D I think a small side grinder with a carbide disc might be the way to go...unless you have a plasma cutter. :o 8)
PeteC:
The easiest method I've found is using a chop saw with a metal cut off wheel.A cut off wheel,of the correct size, will also fit a mitre saw,or even a circular saw held in a vise.Be sure to wear a face mask, and ,or goggles, and heavy gloves, when doing this. You can cut the points out and grind them in minutes. It takes longer to lay them out than it does to build them. God Bless
