Agbowyer:
Brian, got your stave. Sure is pretty. I don't think I've ever seen osage with no knots. You probably need to send me 5 more just like it to have for a back up. I'll look closer this evening, but I don't think there's a better ring unless you go down more than I would if it were mine. I probably won't have time to do much until Sunday.... Chris

Keenan:
Here is the stave that I roughed out for Chris. It is a short 58" character yew stave with some real tight rings. Has several pin knots, nothing big.just enough to give some good character.Had a slight deflex to the stave so I put a slight reflex toward the tips. It's still fairly stout but the limbs are starting to flex some.    Keenan

Great Chris, not sure I got the back perfect, just kept goin till I got rid of the carpenter ants,( they suck) and then sealed it....Brian

Agbowyer:
Keenan, I love the look of that. Like I said I haven't had any dealings with yew so I'm very excited.

Brian, I looked a little closer lat night. I'm gonna take it down another couple of rings to get a ring with a little more depth. Should get to it tomorrow... Chris

Agbowyer:
Brian I started roughing out the stave tonight. I was going to take it down 3 rings, but, but there's a pretty deep check on the belly in the root end.  I'll see how deep it goes tomorrow. It runs all the way fron the tip I laid out to near the fades. If I can I'll take pictures also... Chris
