Check This Guy Out...Super fast hand drill fire

<< < (2/3) > >>

islandpiper:
I don't start fires this way......probably too old to start.   Is there any such thing as a bit of tree rosin, say pine or spruce, in the friction hole?  would that help or hurt the process?   piper

Kegan:
Piper- resin is a big hindrince. That's why pine branches and trunk stink for friction fires.

cowboy:
Damn :o.

D. Tiller:
Yep! Just what I was thinking Paul.  ;D

I think I like Pappy's method the best though! Is there a video of that on the site here somewhere?

aaron:
the youtube guy got the coal in like... EIGHT seconds. Can anyone beat that? Let's say we start with the set at 70 degrees and 50% humidity...
i have never timed myself, but i bet i can get one in under 20 sec. I will try it and get back to y'all.
