heating boo
« on: August 14, 2009, 09:34:53 am »
I remember reading about someone who heated boo after it was glued up.  My boo is real light almost white colored and I want to darken it but I'm afraid that the heat will affect the glue.  I used smoothon and its Ipe and boo.  Any thoughts?  Should I let this one alone and heat the toast the boo on my next one first then apply or will toasting the boo slightly not raise the temp enough to affect the glue?

Used Rite dye with denatured alcohol.  Works fine.

Good luck,
