Good Medicine Hunt.. With Wolf Watcher..

<< < (5/7) > >>

Hillbilly:
Looks like a great hunt, Mike-and a tough one. Not many trees to hide behind out there, and those turkeys are the sharpest-eyed critters in the world.

Pappy:
Great job Hawk, tough hunt I am sure but you pulled it off. Very nice bird. It would be tough to
crawl up on an eastern bird like that,If fact they would have seen the one taking the picture
and left the country. :) Nice job and good eating.  :) Love to get out there and hunt with you
and Joe sometime.

Wolf Watcher:
Pappy:  You are right about how well they see!!  Stacey was hidding in my truck when she took the picture of Hawk on the hill side with the big tom!  She has a very long range lens!  He was hunting with the Ryan bow, "Two Face" and I was using the bow you gave me at the classic!  What a beautiful bow!!  Hawk called an old tom off the hill right into the pretty boy decoy and when I shot the bow hit the tent and I missed.  Also missed several spot and stalk shots, but what a fun challenge.  Hunting with Hawk is always a wonder as he just has sneaking ability that has to be seen to be believed!  Getting ready to hunt black bear as the snow in the high country is finally going away!  Sounds like you and your wife had a great trip!  Joe

Pappy:
I hear ya Joe,guess they can see well wherever you are. :) Me and Miss Joanie really wanted to visit while we were out west but we wasn't on that side of the world, now that I have got her out there
once she wants to come back when we have more time so it is in the cards to get back out soon.
Nothing to hunt around here now but Squirrel's.  :) You got to have some real stalking talent to sneak up on a Turkey,my hat is off to Hawk. :)
