Mallard fletching on Oceanspray

wow, most excellent. i never really thought about it before, but how cool it wood be to oceanspray arrows w/my oceanspray bow. i don't now how to post a link, so you'll have to go to the bow section to see it. arrows very cool !!

Here in TX, the game wardens will tell you that if you didn't buy the feathers from a craft store, you shouldn't have them in your possession.  The exception being if you can prove that the feathers came from a legally harvested bird.  Taxidermy mounts with the proper tag & permit are fine, for example.

Unprotected Birds:
The only birds not protected by any state or federal law are European starlings, English sparrows, feral rock doves (common pigeon - Columba livia) and Eurasian collared-doves; these species may be killed at any time, their nests or eggs destroyed, and their feathers may be possessed.

The rule for protected birds is the opposite.

Here in British Columbia Migratory Game Birds for which there may be an open season require a' Canadian Migratory Game Bird' hunting permit for waterfowl (ducks and geese, including brant )  also coots,snipe, band-tailed pigeons and morning doves. This information was taken from my 2007-2008 Hunting and Trapping regulations .

Sparrow:
Turkeys are non-migratory and are the best fletching out there.I really like the primaries off of male peacocks.Way good fletching and easy to get,they even stew up good and are delicious.  Frank
