Take the weight you want (40) and divide it by the weight you have (35). The amount after the decimal is the percent you want to increase. Divide that by 5 and that is the percent of limb you want to cut off. Times that by the length of the bow and that is how much you want to cut off. 40/35=1.1428 .1428/5=.0285 .0285X61=1.74 To increase a 61" bow from 35 to 40 you would cut off 1.75" or 7/8" off each limb. The bow pulled 42# when it was 65". I expect it will be close to 50# when I'm done (I hope).
