lungbuster:
start with the wood, its a peace of birch,it has a bone for a arrow-head,the feather i cut down to size a laced them on with red string thats all i have.then i put a little paint on it,it's  a little short, but for my first one iam not disapointed. :) :)

One fine arrow, and there is nothing wrong with string hafting either. Whenever I use cord, sting, thread or the like I give the wrapping a couple coats of clear lacquer. It makes the thread a lot tougher, holds it to the shaft real well, and helps keep the weather at bey as well. I get the clear lacquer from the local dollar store (in the form of clear fingernail polish) good lacquer and cheap enough to do a couple dozen arrows for a buck!

Keep in mind that there are people that do and people that talk....you're a do'er so keep at it, cause if this is your first arrow it is obvious you have a future making them slivers....good job
