Bamboo Backed Ipe for Texas Wins the Laminate Category
http://www.primitivearcher.com/smf/index.php/topic,15459.0.html(David didn't want this in BOM but gave in when I reminded him how inspirational his bows can be - OldBow)
From David:
This is one I just built for to take to Texas for a hog hunt that I will be going on in 11 days or so..    It is 58" ntn 55# at 26" I did tiller it out to 62# at 29" this way I can let somebody else use it if need be.. The riser is Hickory,Osage and Brazilian cherry.. The power lam is Canary wood. It is stained with burgundy and black.. I hope to make some meat with it soon!!
I think these folks agree that David's bows are, indeed, inspirational
"David, you got those things down to an art, nice bow. " -Dano
"I usually don't like these RD BBsomethings...  Too modern for a guy with a trowel.
This one is just too beautiful though.  Especially the stain on the Bamboo. The pigs will throw themselves at you." -Dauntless
"you sure make some purty sticks . love the colors !! , keep em coming!!" -ken75
"David -Another awesome bow.  I really like those narrow tips.   Hope you make some bacon with it.  Good Luck,  If you are not happy with it 55# @26 is perfect for me" -ricktrojanowski
