Sealer for Cane Arrows
RidgeRunner:
I need a sealer that will "stick" to the outside rind of a cane arrow shaft.
Part of my Gift for the Chrismas trade is a few cane arrows.
They have been straightend and the nodes have been sanded down somewhat.
These sanded areas has had outside rind removed and now they require a good sealer.
Thanks
David
Hillbilly:
David, I usually run some 220 paper over the whole shaft to rough up the rind and put a few coats of Tru-oil on them, (or bear grease for authentic primitive arrows.)
Pat B:
I do the same as Steve.
RidgeRunner:
Pat, Steve: Thanks for the replies.
Tur-Oil. Hummmm Never bought a bottel before.
Do you think some of the chain stores would carry it?? Wal mart (I dont think so) Academy Sports (Maybe)
David
Hillbilly:
David, a lot of Wal-marts carry it in the gun section. Around here, most gun shops have it. It's usually with the gun bluing and such.
