Is it possible to adjust draw weight on a trad. recurve by alter the string?

usually Glass bows won't, fiber glass has no memory ,like wood dose.  :)

Pappy's right, you're only hope is to build a bow ;). If you're only interested in shooting you could make a light red oak D bow from a board in an hour or two.
