some bows and art work
« on: December 03, 2009, 10:27:15 am »
Here are a couple of bows for your enjoyment. I made  both longbows ,one on horse and one at full draw. The fellow on the carving made a beautiful carving of bears for one of my bows. The carving osage was done from a pc of scrap osage my son wanted to make a bow from. I thought he did a great job., don't you agree. Denny

I wondered when some one would mention the quiver, Thats a local coyote, who gave it up for my quiver the arrow I made from bamboo, I bought from homedepot . In the plant section you'll find them in as plant stake. Pretty straight too. Anyway, they are about 6ft long. cut in half for two arrows. For those low budget it cost 4.00. The turkey feathers are of birds my friends shoot and donate to the cause, and I cop and dye them. I sometimes, glue and sinew them on,especially when I am replicating. I have a glass case, with my ishi replication bows and arrows,I will post sometime. In the meantime thanks everyone for the compliments and I am glad you enjoyed. Denny

Wow - that is very cool!  The Chief behind the Centaur looks wicked too.  What's the carved flatbow - osage?
