medicinewheel:
Thanks mullet!
I have a nice piece of hard maple here for the handle...
Buggi:
Cool pair!
Saw them in real and I like the skinner.
Maybe I could help you to finish the sheath.
Buggi
sailordad:
LOVE that hawk head 8)
wanna make me one ;D
banoch:
nice work. Could you detail your forging process for me in a little detail. I am particularly in the knife from the file. Thanks for any help. Banoch
medicinewheel:
Thanks Buggi, sailordad, banoch!
@ banoch:l I did the forging out of the cutting edge and the rough shape as the blacksmith told me to, after that he evened out the tang with the spring hammer, the edge is hardened and quenched in veggie oil. I can't really tell it more detailed, was the first time I've done that.
@ sailor: The hawk head I cut out from a way bigger carpenter's ax (it provided material for another hawk, as well), cutting edge forged, hardended and quenched, maybe I can offer that one for a trade some time later!
Again thanks everybody, I really appreciate it!
