Question on banding for broadheads...
Easternarcher:
Just thinking here....how well does this pallet banding stand up to use. Seems to me , it's fairly thin stuff and would likely bend or curl wouldn't it? Don't have any to try, but may do so in the future.
Strong enough for deer? or just as small game heads????
Jude:
Some of the wider stuff is pretty thick too. Might be worth a try, there's lots of different grades. Check the post titled "Fosythia Shafts" by Commadore, he makes trade points from the stuff.
RidgeRunner:
All of it that I have ever looked at was to thin to make big game brodeheads from.
Skill Saw blades, Large band saw blades, Machanical Hack Saw blades and Old hand saw blades all work well.
Most of these things are not to hard to find.

Justin Snyder:
It will work for scrapers, but not broadheads. If you can get the flat banding that they band metal beams with, it will work. The problem is they usually use round banding on metal now. :'(
Jude:
I think we may still be using that in the Army. Is the stuff your talking about 3/4"-1" wide, 1/32" thick, and galvanized? If so, I can keep my eyes open for scraps. I could get it by the roll, but then they would lock me up for "Fraud, Waste and Abuse" :-\
