Another Elm Warbow

(1/5) > >>

Marc St Louis:
This bow was made for a guy in VT, he wanted a draw weight of 100# @ 32".  The wood from this tree was noticeably stiffer than the other bow I made last month.  The dimensions of this bow are similar to the other warbow but it has 20# more draw weight.  The bow is 72" long, a bit over 1 3/8" wide and just under 1" thick, no horn nocks on this bow.  I'm not going to bother posting a picture of me drawing the bow freehand since I can only pull it back to about 26".  The full draw is as I was tillering it and a 2 handed pull.  Here's some pictures

Josh:
Marc, That is a perfect tiller on that bow!  I really enjoy looking at your bows, they are an inspiration.   :)  -josh

Cromm:

Incredible Mark, I can never figure out how you reflex those war bows as much as you do and still keep them stable. Mine always want to flip on me if I go past about 2". Hpefully your customer will report back to us onhow far he can cast an arrow with it. Steve
