I used sour wood plugs, they don't look quite as good but fit much better and much tighter than deer antler. :) A couple of Chuck's new knives with Ocean spray handles, just beautiful. Little John's bow out to about 20 inches, he plans on backing it with silk. Looking good so far. Hope yall had a good one also, Thanks again for the thoughts and prayers, it is going to be a long week for us. Funeral is Wed. evening and she will be put to rest in the family grave yard. Tough sometimes :( but Life is Good. :)

I work nights, so this is about time to settle down and relax. I usually greet the dawn, then turn in.

Thanks much my friends, I will pass this along to Miss Joanie. See yall Monday. :) On a lighter note I talked to Gary Davis and he is coming down for a visit and a get away for him the 16 of Sept. for a few days. I always enjoy the time we have together and to make it even better he will be here to help celebrate my birthday the 17th of Sept. I was hoping he could be here the 10th of Sept for the Deer Classic shoot we have at TwinOaks or the 24th for opening weekend of Deer season but ant in his cards so we will make do. ;) :)

My regards to Miss Joanie and the family Mark. Yer right, just a tough thing there. Family helps a great deal! I hope the Elk steaks were gud eatin. Try to have some more here end of Sept?
As Greg was telling me about his land down my way it reminded me to go see a feller I know down the road a piece, just over the Robertson county line. So, Went down Monday morning and asked him if I could bow hunt and take some them bean-eaters off his farm. He almost jumped at me to shoot some of them! Guess he's over run down there? Think he wanted me to go shoot them now. Told the fella I be there soon as the weather cools. He said it's so bad he been getting (depredation) to thin em out and feeds em to the Tobacco Help if ya know what I mean?

I started re-reading the first issue last week. It is a constant read for me while in the library during my morning constitutional. Starts the day our right. Those early days are a hoot. Who would'a thought primitive archery could take a giant leap like it did since the Massey books, TBB and PA. Tell Gary thanks from me.

Pappy:  Nothing I can say except Miss Joanie's loss and yours is something that will take some time to deal with.  Seems a lot of us have had family members pass this year.  One thing to your advantage is your having such a busy life to keep you on course.  The Classic experiences and your Life is Good has been a blessing for me and I thank you for it.  Joe
