Friday again and I have company coming , :)well not really company [Ridgerunner and his son]
They should be there now.I plan on getting down about noon. Got no big plans, just
a little bow building and cooking and shooting.I laid out deer steaks yesterday so that should be supper tonight and then for Sat. who knows but I bet we come up with something.I plan on putting the finishing touches on my IW. bow and try and tiller a Osage I have been working on.Also
going to try and straighten some Cain arrows, been working on them but it is going pretty slow for me.
Hope yall have a good on and I will see you Monday with pictures of the weekend.Life is good. ;)

Well we had a great weekend, weather was nice and good friends, food and bows and arrows, just can't beat that. David[ridgerunner ] and his son Forest[bud] came up to spend the weekend .I think they had a good time.David  got 2 bows tillered,1 went great and the other,o well if
you ant breaking um you ant making um.I hated it but that happens. John Thomas also came down with his new Osage
it is a sweet shooter and Keith with his New IW  it is also a sweet shooter.I didn't get all done I wanted but I did manage to get my IW tillered and the belly heat treated.I will fine tune it in a day
or 2.Also got my Osage almost ready to brace and a few cain arrows straightened.I done a lot of cooking ,hope everyone got enough to eat. Here are some pictures of the weekend. :)

Wish I could have joined you guys Saturday, but wouldn't have had a lot of time after going to the memorial service for a friends wife who passed away. Also had to make a trip to Nashville Saturday afternoon to deliver my youngest son to my brother-in-law...he's been helping mow yards for extra $$$ this summer.

I got my first cane arrow flying Sunday, it flew really well and actually seemed to hit slightly higher then my cedar shafts. I also cut some more cane Sunday and found a good patch of dogbane... ;)

Greg,
I've been working on straightening bamboo lately as well.  I also cut river cane this morning.   The nodes in my bamboo are larger and tougher to work with than the river cane but I'm learning as I go.  I hope to get over this weekend sometime.
