Headed to the cabin in a little bit, got lots to do over the weekend, got one last hide to finishing stretching and smoke, also my lady friends bow to finish the tiller, looking good but needs 10 or so more pounds taken off, just need to keep it even as I remove the weight. Also got all the parts and supplies to service my Koboto RTV, need to get that done along with a new Ign. switch and new set of wheels and tires, then it should be up and ready for another year of work around the farm and fun. Hope yall have a good one also, going to be hot, in the low 90's so stay cool, summer is here in Tennessee. ??? ;) :) Life is Good.  ;) :)

Great weekend, not a lot going on so I got all my projects done, had a few friends show up but all in all very peaceful. Here are a few pictures. Got my Kobota all serviced up and a new set of tires put on, ready for another year around the farm, also got my lady friends bow out to 34@25, looking good, she wants 30@25 so after shooting some more I may adjust the weight a bit, we will see how it hold up first. ;) :) and then grip and finish. :)

Got my last hide all dry and soften, then a good smoke, this one really turned out soft all the way to the edges and good even smoke, I just may be getting a little better at this finely. :-\

Had several friends over just hanging out and also BigA/GregB and my self went up to the barn and went through some old billet wood we cut in 2004, really nice wood, we brought back a load and plan on working it up over the next few week and do some splicing. :) ;)

Thanks Bob, Over the years I have done a lot and they turned out OK but always seem to have some area I am not satisfied with, but the last several have turned out like I want them to, guess being retired now I just take a little more time and that is really all it takes is time. ;) :)

Thanks Ed, means a lot from the brain tan guru . :) Thought I was finished but the weather forecast for the next several days is prefect for working hides, high 70's light wind and low humidity so I put another in soak yesterday and hope to get it done over the next few day between other projects. Still got a bow to finish and it is bush hogging time so my plan is to work the hide in between the other things I need to get done, not really a problem , I like to keep moving and have plenty of things to do, that's what keeps me motivated. ;)got about a month before things pick up again for the Club to get ready for the IBO Traditional world
July 15/16/17/18 so I need to get my stuff done now.  ??? ;) :) :) :)

Don't know of I'm the guru of brain tanning but I do what works for me with the least amount of work. That being said though there's no getting around the work part, but getting results from not needing to rebrain hides is the work saver.
Having them lined up like that can become almost a full time job.....Ha Ha.Been there done that too.
