Life is good
Pappy:
Headed to the cabin today through Sunday morning, got a few things left to do to be ready for Saturday's shoot, getting gravel today and a few other odds and ends. Hope yall have a good one also. Life is good :) By the way got the Classic buttons ordered, I think they look good, hard to believe it has been 25 years.

Pappy:
Another good weekend, it was beautiful Thursday and got a lot done on the gravel and some work ing the shop, Friday some rain and cool, cold Saturday for the shoot but sunny and clear and we had a bunch show up and didn't seem to mind. Had 122 register for the shoot and as always it seems at Twin Oaks the traditional /self bow guys out numbered the wheel folks 2 to 1, always love seeing that. We got 2 new guys in the club and both wanted to build a self bow so with my help and GregB we got them shooting Thursday and ready for them to put the finish on. :)

First shot, the both came in at 50@26 and they shot them well, This was the first stick bow of any kind Bob had shot and he is learning quick and having a ball doing it. :) 1 more convert I hope. ;) :) :)

I took some time and mounted the old vice I refurbished and started another knife, I had to weld a tang on this one, it is a nice old US file and should make a good heavy duty knife when finished. Then on to the gravel, we got 5 loads, it will sure help at the Classic rain or shine. :)

Then in for Venison steak and beans and ham for supper, hard to beat that. :) Friday it was raining so I worked on the arrows and feathers for the Classic trophies, have to do 40 shafts with self nocks and Turkey feathers so it takes a while, 120 feathers to split and grind, I use a belt sander and a jig I made to hold the feathers. :)
