Pappy:
Had a buddy of mine pick up a set of yew billets in Cloverdale and wanted them spliced, Shawn showed up just at the right time, :) :) we jumped on them and had them cut/fitted and glued up in short order, had to work on the saw a bit but other than that things went smooth, always something in the shop, ;) :) then Brats for lunch. :)

Done a little grip work on my bow then shot it about 100 more times, all seemed well and decided to go ahead and skin it with some copper heads I have been saving for a special bow, the Osage was pretty bright so I blacked the back and 1 thin coat of TB3 on it before putting the skins on. I usually do this , it seems to make the pattern stand out better and stay over time. :)

The skins came out nice, a little dark but pretty cool and should look good in the woods, then back strap for supper and of course a few left over for Miss Joanie, more brownie points ;) I am trying to pile them up before September. ;) :) :) Hope yall had a good one also. Life is Good. :)

Good lookin' Bow! What do You use to black the back? I've had enough of this Heat, kickin' My Butt :(. Thanks as always Pappy (=), Bob.
Pappy:
Thanks Bob,I just use a large magic marker, the very fat tip kind, ya the heat has been bad here for sure, I think it is supposed to cool off a bit this week, down in the high 80's low 90, that's hot but not as bad as it has been.
