I have put up a lot of cables to keep the kids (and adults) on 4 wheelers out of land I hunted, I always covered the cables with a 4" piece of PVC pipe to keep the trespassers from cutting their heads off should they run into a cable after dark, suing me and taking away everything I worked for my entire life. I put the cable about 2 1/2' off the ground and made them too tight to lift and drive under. I locked the cables with huge locks and had the keyed so one key fit every lock on the property. Of course the jerks would vandalize my locks with superglue and breaking keys off in them.

Great deer Pappy. Remember a few years back when you couldn't find a 7 ptr to save your life. Rifle season starts Saturday. Just got 6 inches of snow too. Good luck and keep filling that freezer.

Ya I thought about that Eric, I did put a sign up but no pvc or flagging , maybe I should. :-\ Thanks Glenn, ya that was the first TwinOaks grand slam, took 5 years to get a 7 point, then the 2nd Grand slam I needed a 6 point for 4 years, and now the 3rd Grand slam all I need is a 4 point , this was the 3rd year needing that and ant going to happen , maybe next year. :) headed down this morning, Beau are staying a few days, I got 2 deer to process and 3 euro mounts to do along with racking 2 more hides so I plan on being camp cook most of the time, I am doe only now and had rather hunt them a little later in the year when the rut is over and they settle back down to their normal routine and not ran all over the place by their boy friends. :) :)

Great few days at the cabin, Beau and Joe came down to stay and hunt with me, I hunted a little but spent most of my time in the shop and kitchen, Had the Boy Scouts down also, weather was beautiful and I think we all had a great time. I had a lot of meat/hides and heads to catch up on , so stayed pretty busy. ;) :) Had Beau's deer to take care of first thing, he can do it but I have the time and he knows I enjoy it. :)

Got his meat all done by noon and a start on my head. :) Got 38lbs of burger and steaks and donated the shoulders to the Classic, we have now reached our 25 shoulder gold so the rest will be made into burger. :)
