Ya sometimes I get several inches deep,as long as it don't freeze SOLID they will be fine, I have had it freeze with only a few inches from the bottom before and they were fine when it thawed.I moved mine inside one year and most died, not sure why but now just try to keep some heat on it when I know it is really going to get cold and stay that way a few days. Yes the boys are growing and I have a lot of fun hanging out with them and trying to teach them about the farm and stuff I know how to do. :) They get enough teaching on the other things in life that mostly I know nothing about. ??? :-\ ;)
