Mmm, them frog legs look good!  Even through all of the work, it seems ya'll find time for play.  That's a good thing.

Morning Pappy
I'm glad you like the fire tools, if you sand the wood after you brand it the edges of the letters will be a lot sharper. Ron
If we can't help each other what is the point of being here?

Pappy, did you get anhy staves out of the ash you cut down? I imagine with all the osage you have around there you don't get too excited about ash, makes real pretty bows.

David that was a guy we call Chubby,he has been doing that since he was 5 or 6 and you are right,he climbed the trees like a squirrel. :) No Steve the Ash and the Walnut were both dead in the center and lots of bad spots all over them, really glad I decided to take them down, could have been bad, :o and yes I have a lot of Ash and it does make a pretty bow, haven't made one from it in a while but use to use it a lot. :) Beautiful grain and usually straight. :) Did get some good cooking and fire wood got to have that to. :)

Man Pappy, that looks like a typical weekend around the place. Most of the regulars there - work, work, work, eat, eat.... :D. I do miss that place! Bet it does look diff without them trees and gotta wonder if Greg was there to grab that peice of burl he'd been eyeballing up that big maple, ha :).

He wasn't there [don't know where he was] ??? but I saved it,if fact their was 2 on that tree,I got them both,I am sure he will make something cool out of them. :) :) It does look differend and I suspect it will be hotter in the drive between the cabin and registration and also in the cabin especially up stairs.  :)
On the plus side you won't get scared to death when the walnuts fall on the roof in the fall. ;) :) :) or limbs off the dieing Ash. :)

Linda and I had planned a 3 day weekend trip to Memphis to visit her daughter. Had a good time, and stopped by the Shiloh battlefield on the way home Sunday...been wanting to see it for a long time.

FRIDAY,YA !!!!! I am headed to the cabin as soon as I get out of Nashville and get
Miss Joanie's pool running [honey do's] that shouldn't take long. ??? No real big plans for a change,we have some more repairs on the shed and a little more picking and cleaning up to do but it's almost a done deal. ;D Beau is coming in the morning and we plane on checking and pulling a few stands and also put out some salt blocks for the critters around the farm. ;)I also want to get my Osage static recurve ready for finish, still need handle shaped and tip over lays so I should be able to get that done, tiller is finished unless I decide to take off a few more pounds ? I think Jon will be down and I would imagine a few more so it should be a fun weekend.  ;) :) Hope yall have a good one. Life Is Good. :) :)
