Jon's latest knife and some scales he made up from scrap Osage. We made up 20 tillering strings for the Scouts. and some hides ready to be scrapped.  :)

Jon with a nice Osage blank I gave him,felt so bad a bout all his trouble so I gave a piece of the King wood. ;) ;D ;D ;D >:D Will's Persimmon,WAS looking good but didn't turn out so good. Bad spot you couldn't really see till now. ;) ;D

Chuck helping out on the Scout's bows. Me working a hide that I just finished Brain tanning,stretch it till it's dry. ??? Some night work around and nice fire and then a club picture Saturday after the meeting.We had 4 get out and brought in 5 new members so we are full [25] again. :)

GregB made me some very nice sheaths for a couple of my latest knives [Thanks Greg] just beautiful.  :) :) BigA laying out a bow for Chris Goff new son [2 months old] Never to young for a bow. :) Some wood cutting and Will working on some billets. :)

Will chasing rings on 100 year Osage fence post. Michael shooing in his new Cherry bow,turned out really nice.This was only his 2nd bow. ??? Chris tillering his son's new bow and Will with his monster bow,almost ready to shoot. ;) :-\ :)

Me and Will scraping some hides. Michael cutting out some knife blades,Allen Corn one of our new members made us a new blade,worked really good. :) Chuck cleaning up some shavings. :) Me making a String for Memphis's bow,Chris's son/King Ron's grandson.  :)

Memphis's new bow ready for him when he gets ready. ;) :) :) My Persimmon in the works,hope it does better than Will's.  ;) :) Will's billets ready to be spliced. :)

I put some skins on Terry's son Gabe's bow,looking good,just need sealing. I also belly split some 11 year old Osage and got a nice pair of billets,it was a piece no one seemed to want. :o ??? My new neck knife in the works and Jimmy and Michael sealing the ends of some black Walnut we plan on using for knives and such. :) ;)

Hide almost ready and another waiting in the wings. ;) :) More wood cutting and then some fun on the practice range with Michael/Jimmy and BoBo. :)

More fun on the range. A Walnut log trimmed in length and ready to split up into staves,should make around 10 we hope. Another hide scrapped and ready to come off the rack and become leather. ;) ;D ;D That's it for this weeks fun,hope yall had a good one,I know I sure did.  :) Life is Good.

You all sure get it done up there. What type of steel do you use? Nice knives and that leather work is outstanding. Pappy, what do you do with all these hides you tan? Thanks for sharing.

Jon is the one turning out the knives,him/GregB and Michael must turn out 3 or 4 a week,I do a few but not like them guys. :) I am the beneficiary of some of theirs tho. ;) ;D ;D Graylan I make grips/have some possible bags/Shirt and trade them. :)Only got 4 tanned right now and about 20 in rawhide form ready to tan / back bows or other projects.  :)
