FRIDAY,Glad it finely got here,been a long week around here,headed to the cabin
as soon as I can get away.No big plans,just need to finish up a few projects some mowing/knife work and final smoke my last hide also may work on my Osage that is ready to tiller. I think Jon is sick so I may be by myself this evening, King Ron did mention he may show up so maybe not.

Either way it will be a good time.See yall Monday.

Great weekend as usual,got some stuff finished up and had some good food and fellowship.Not as big a crowd as we sometimes have but still nice and peaceful.
KingRon and Hayden stayed the weekend with me,they were a big help around the place. Here are a few pictures of the fun. Couple of knives almost finished.

A gift from Dan,hand carved bean spoon/Oak. Very cool. Putting the final smoke on my brain tanned hide. May be the last of the year if the weather don't cool a little.

Mark, are you gluing the scales on the knife prior to pinning? What kind of glue are you using? I have a knife blank that I want to work on. It will be my first.

Back at you Cracker,

Matt I get my pins drilled and the scales all lined up ,then take it apart and put epoxy on the scales ,then push the pins in and clamp,when it dries I ping the pins right in the center with a center punch,on each side to swell them ,be sure to support the bottom of the pin when you ping them or you can knock them through and you don't want that, then sand down the ping marks and you are good to go. Not sure on the kind of epoxy,but it is 5 minute and I buy some pretty good stuff.

I also rough up the part of the blade that gets the glue also where it will bond better.
