Looks like a very eventful and enjoyable weekend Pappy.  I made up a batch of Walnut stain myself and cut a nice Osage on a farm in Clinton and got it split into staves and sealed.  My oldest son, Zach (12) helped my pile brush and split out the staves.  He learned first hand that those thorns have some bite!! :o

Looks like fun to me.

Does your wife know you are using her Blender??? ;D

I see your wood pile is getting low.  I am due a vacation.  More than willing to cut some firewood for you.
It is the least I could do as pay back for all I have been given by Twin Oaks over the years.

Thanks
David

Man, I'm about to cry, another two weeks here, Nov.10, max. Tell me when you need some more pine sap. I'm hoping on a Thanksgiving run to SC, maybe more if I can get away with it.

Chris and Shawn are coming up Saturday morning. Chris will try to call you in the morning. Have fun, guys. Sorry about Johns deer, it happens.

I must admit it was a tough day spent looking for the deer I hit.    I must have spent about 9 hours using the grid method Pappy explained to me searching.  I'll just have to do better next time.

Just spoke to Gary.  He thinks he can make it also.  We'll know as the time gets nearer. Fingers crossed on this end.

Sure hope yall can,I think Davy/Chuck and Glenn are coming also so it will be a good time. Jimmy Blackman got a nice doe yesterday morning 120 lbs. and right behind her was a very nice buck.He took the shot and hit him a little back and low.We tracked him yesterday evening and bumped him 3 times.Finely pulled off, Him and GregB are going back in this morning,he was moving slow the last time we jumped him so I feel pretty good they will find him within 100 yards of where we last seen him.Hope so with any deer but this one is really nice, large body and a 10 point I am pretty sure/pretty wide and nice long points.Bet Jimmy didn't get much sleep last night. ;) :) :) :)
