Spent a lot of time in the kitchen.  ;) :) My girls loved the scraps also. The weather was tough for hunting, hot first few days then very cold and windy but Dave managed to pull it off on the last morning and Conner had his chance but didn't make it happen, great time for sure, can't wait to do it again.

Now to this weekend, got the small practice all set back up and the walk through practice range set also along with cleaning out the pavilion and cutting and splitting wood. Shawn came down to help but also got his last hide off the rack, so we are ready to start some tanning in a week or 2.

Some good food and fellowship around the fire . We are getting a good start on the wood supply but still have a ways to go, most of us are getting older and instead of being able to work hard all day we are more 1/2 day guys anymore.  ??? ;) :)

New pavilion almost set up, got the forge moved back in and setting up my brain tanning area under it also with smoker/cable/rope and twisting pole, should make it easier and not as crowed as it was under the other pavilion. Also will keep all the equipment such as splitter's and sprayers. under it. I did get a last hunt in Saturday morning, season closes today  :(, had a couple of doe in to 15 yards but had 1 small limb in the way that I felt sure I would hit so passed on the shot, was thinking of the last thing Miss Joanie said to me when I left the house "Don't do nothing stupid " so I didn't for a change.  ;) :) Hope yall had a good one also. Life is Good. :)

The new pavilion and the new open area sure looks great. It's gonna change that whole area. Beau and his kids fit quite well in the new Kobota. Life is good.  :OK
Tell Miss Joanie she's still in my thoughts. Hope her recovery is going well.

Thanks for having us Pappy.  We sure enjoyed the time at Twin Oaks.  Our season ended yesterday also.  I got out Saturday evening at our property for my last sit of the season.  I didn't see any deer.  Oh well, was blessed with 2 this year so Debbie and I won't go hungry.  Can't wait to get back down there.

Yes BJ, I plan to set up my forge area and move my smoker and brain tanning stuff under it and also use it for vendors during the Classic, very handy, a man can't have to many roofs to get under. ;) :) Good to hear from you Steve, glad all is well with you and look forward to seeing you and that sweet bride of yours again.  :) Grand kids day today, hadn't had them much since Miss Joanie has been sick but she thinks she is up to the challenge now, really looking forward to it that's for sure !!!!!!  :)

Very busy weekend, not many pictures, ??? to busy working but got a lot done, seems always a lot of work to do this time of year. We did start off Friday with a little time around the fire and some good deer and stuff  ;) :) stir fry and working on plans for Saturday. :)Got to have a little time around the fire with friends no matter how busy you are.  :) Also a buddy dropped off some goose wings, I clipped them and ready to send off with my Turkey feathers, found a guy that dose a great job for half, what a deal. :) he dose them in about a week , it would take me a month. I got about 1800 Turkey and working on a good stash of goose before I ship them.  :)

Part of us got on the wood pile, almost got enough for the year now, all we need is some to spread around the camp ground for the Classic. Also putting a new floor in the shed beside my work shop, it was the first building we got, besides the cabin that was already there, it came off my great grandfathers home place, it was used for a corn crib, we jacked it up and moved it to my farm in 1990, it was original built about 1885 by my great grand father so to say it needed some floor repair is an understatement , needed some new floor Josie and new flooring in about half of it, and some more big rocks for support. The rest of the building is pretty solid. Lots of work but will be well worth it.  :)

With all the changes I'll hardly recognize the place. Everything looks great.
By the way...have y'all set the schedule for the Classic? Time to get the word out.  :OK
