Dang...for $50.00 a Dozen...I would for sure get Mine from David and Cora...I have seen their Arrows fly...I know that theywill be Spined and Straight when I got them.......

I'd buy them from David for more than that, definately worth it

Eddie, considering it only costs $80 give or take, to get a bundle of 500 shipped, I think getting 2 doz matched and spined finished arrows, is one heck of a deal!!!  For YOU!!! ;D :o

And I bought a dozen straightened and sanded shafts from David Knight, they were great!! Flew incredible but I only have 7 left.  Broke 5 already at the field range :(

well I'm assuming EVERY one would be arrow worthy.....right Eddie? ;D
I think $200 worth of arrow deserves a little sorting!

At Dknight's deserved price of $140 a doz it's more like $280 worth of arrows ;D  Anyone who makes cane though knows it's a worthwile price.  And he makes some perty arrows.  I'd pay it but the way I'm breaking arrows lately I'd go broke quick.

+1 the only time I will justify the risk of breakage and buy a doz of them perty sticks is if I was competing in a trad shoot. for now ill stick to dowel arrows and crookety cane :D

you can temper cane to raise the spine if you need to.  i only do this if i come up short on spine when working on a set of arrows.  i'll take a lower spined shaft and give it a good temper to raise the spine to match the others.  after cane solar cures for a month or two, i'll go over it with a propane torch to give it a mild temper and also do some minor straightening while it's hot.  a mild temper will caramelize the sugars in the cell walls and make it a tougher shaft.  the tonkin doesn't need to be tempered as it's dry as a bone when you get it.  i don't even want to get started on how lucky eddie is with arrow deals! ::)

Being just a poor boy all I can do is drool over them beautiful $140 arrows!
But, I'd rather have my uglies that I know are close in tolerances than pay $50-$80 for some questionables (and almost as ugly).

But, If I ever win Power Ball...............  ;D
