Steve, did you know the name of the Manufacturer? I couldn't find it last night. My guess is it is late 40's, early 50's. And those old aluminum bows will blow. Bear Archery almost went bankrupt because of them.

I listed 3 Manufacturers that made them back in the 40s and 50s.... could be more ... that's all I could remember...

thats a pretty neat find. i have never seen one from aluminum. though i have wondered bout tillering one out of a leaf spring with a plasma cutter and angle grinder........ ;D

Yep, aluminum gets brittle with age, whether it's worked or not. That's why aircraft need fuselage rivets replaced on time schedule, not a mileage schedule.
