Bamboo Side Quiver (Updated with more Pics)
Josh:
Just got all the kinks worked out with this quiver tonight. I used my belt sander to cut the hole in the side, just kinda laid it in the curve of the edge of the sander and let it do all the work. I think it worked rather nicely. I fabricated this thing as I went, there's no telling how many times I took it apart and changed something and put it back together. I had a hard time coming up with a way to have loops for the strap. I think it turned out pretty cool. I was trying to get away with not using metal rings and I think my solution is pretty awesome. Jute twine and Green paracord make up the bindings and strap. The strap is a simple 3 strand braid. The loops for the strap are paracord braided as well. The quiver will only hold 7 arrows but that should be plenty for stumpin or 3D coursin... If I need more arrows at a time then that means I just need to practice shooting more often, right?! :) ...Thanks for looking guys, hope you enjoy. :)
Josh:
a few more and the money shot, LOL
What do you think? I am going to seal the Jute twine with epoxy thinned with acetone tomorrow when it is daylight, Other than that this one is done. Time to finish my copperhead bow now. ;) -josh
