Tail feathers?

(1/2) > >>

stringstretcher:
How many of you use turkey tail feathers for fletching?  What style do you use the with?

sailordad:
i use them as cock feathers alot of the time, they work like secondaries
i make 3 fletch

Hillbilly:
I've used them for regular three-fletch, but I really like them for Eastern-woodland style two-fletch arrows. They're ideal for that style.

mullet:
I'm with Hillbilly. That's what I save them for. Secondaries are real good for two-fletch, also.

half eye:
I use them regularly for hunting arrows...three fletch long and low like the woodland style. They come off the bow and fly allmost completely silent. They are also hard to pick up in flight which may or maynot be an issue for what you hunt.
