My cousin who shoots Olympic bow showed me how to make these, and I can assure you these are really light, as precise as these ugly ones from brass and really durable. In fact I never lost one.
First you cut a triangular piece of paper about 1 1/4" (or less) long 1/8" (or less) wide; maybe you want to dye it black, this is left white for better picturing.
Second you glue the wider end at the desired spot on your serving with a drop of superglue and let it set.
Third you wrap the paper stripe around the string and saturate it in superglue while doing so (sorry, no picture of the process possible; needed both hands for the job...), fixing it with an extra drop later. If necessary fixing can be repeated, when hundreds of shots and several rainshowers made it come loose a bit.
