(1/1)

65x55 swedis:
hey i was woundering if it was possiable to make cord out of dandilions. i started to play with it yesterday and got some interesting results. i don't know how to splice yet so i did not get far.

ricktrojanowski:
I never heard of using dandelion for cordage.  I'm interested in hearing about your findings.

AncientArcher76:
The natives made cordage out of a lot of materials but found nothing on dandelions.  They y would rot before u would get to use them for any length of time.  Try using strong grass, bark from trees or shrubs, even corn stalks.  Stuff that is less spongy and more fiborous.

Postman:
Dandelions are European, so I doubt the natives in America got around to trying them for cordage, but they taste good!

sailordad:
just find yourself some milkweed or dogbane and ya got it made
both them makes great cordage
i usually make some in the fall from milkweed
i do this while am turky hunting, not for any real reason.i just get bored and its there so i make use of it  ;)
