It is REALLY easy to get your leg caught in between the bow and the string and then lose your balance and fall on the bow and break it.  (Don't ask me how I know about THAT one...  ::) )   ;D

I use the step through method...But I dont use my thigh for handle pressure.

I carefully position the handle on the back of my knee with the bottom limp tip on the top of my left ankle.  Then I grap the top limb tip with my right hand and slowly apply pressure on the handle while pulling the top limb tip...I watch both limbs for equal bending while stringing.

I use a stringer and only use the push pull method when I have to. Look at sailordad's picture of him using the push pull method. Nice form but to keep my eyes out of the way I turn my head to the left and gently put the loop in by feel. Jawge
