Very informativeAll i've ever done are limb lines or pounding stakes (long enough for water depth) in creeks to create a funnel. you can check in but you cant check out.

This would be a killer how-to!

i would not recommend doing that one above it is killer to figure out. i am still playing with ways of doing this so bear with

ok i figured it out
if you are using fishing line like i am i suggest you wrap your ring in a twin to make the line bite into it and not slip around.
if you are using larger line then you can just do the whole ring and be ok.
it goes pretty fast once you get started. here is after 2 hours of work.
also build a long needle about 14 in long you won't have to reload the needle i don't think
