That is cool, Jesse.   :) How hard is that coral to knap compared to some of your other rocks?

Its flakes OK but its very easy to crumble on your edges. Also on most coral heads there is only about 1 1/2 inches of good rock on there outer edges of the head. This is what you spall off then you have a spall with concrete on one side and gnarly crust on the other side and hiding some were in there is some very nice stuff.
It is defiantly not a beginner rock but makes one hell of a point if you can pull it off. Also i think this stuff will get sharper them most flints i have used before.

Cool man, thanks for the info... I don't think I have ever seen it in its natural state before. That makes the points you got from it all the more awesome.  Keep up the good work my friend.    :)

Just like a real one. Raw Coral will make a tough, sharp hunting point.

another awesome point Jesse, but I do have to clear the air on the coral, on alot of the bigger heads the gem stuff is usually on the outer core but I have sold tons of coral( for real) thats solid all the way through, even some of the 10olb + heads

heres a few pics to give you and example
