well here is my new knife i bought at a garage sale with a tool box full of flintknaping tools. the guy sed he bought it from a Navajo indian in Arizona. he also sed it was a buffalo bone blade i am not sure if it is true all i can see is that the blade does not have a edge and it has a coat of polyurethane on it   the leather looks, feels, and smells like brain tanned buckskin. if yall have any info on the style of blade it is and what tribe carried this style blades let me know i am thinking of putting the edge on it since it does not have it. the blade is 4 3/4 inches long ttyl

It looks authenic to me, Sterling. The knife looks like what you see in artifact books of Turn of the Century tourist knives. I bet it is at least 70-100 years old.
