Hill and River Cane Pics?

It looks like you heated and compressed your nodes?  Did you do that while they were still green or did you dry them and then compress them?  Bill

I rolled the nodes down using a hardwood block Bill. Best to get on 'em once they're dry enough to work. Usually about 4 weeks. ART

Is there a book for arrow building from cane? The hill can gives me fits trying to sight down it to get them straight. The others like river cane or Lowes cane are much easier. any suggestions?

ive straightened a bit of it.  straightens just like bamboo or river cane for me.  just straighten between the nodes first, and then the nodes.  works like a charm

Contact Chris Cade(Mechslasher). He wrote a pamphlet on working cane to arrows. Lots of good info in it too.
