UK Bowyers meet - heads-up on UK event next year

<< < (5/6) > >>

bobnewboy:
Yay!  Helene and I have our confirmation from Wally, so we'll be there.  I just bagged a sackful of turkey feathers today and some hazel wands last weekend, so I've got some work to do before May...

bobnewboy:
Crikey, I just unloaded that sack of feathers.  There are quite a few more than I imagined, so I got a good price in the end.   :) I think I'll be bringing some of these along to the primitive weekend to trade or sell: there are primaries and secondaries, plus a few tails feathers, each from bronze and black free range turkeys.  The guys in the States get these kind of things all the time, I got creative and contacted a few turkey farms before Christmas.  All hand and dry plucked, and clean.  I really do have a lot of work on  ::)

wally:
Be good to catch up with you and your feathers-a bit of trading may go on.
I'm starting clearing some areas as there's going to be 33 archers tents.

backgardenbowyer:
Bob - I'm all envy about your turkey feathers!  Would like to buy or trade some if you are willing to part with any of your stash.

Stan

bobnewboy:
Hi Stan,  sure, when we catch up.  I'll bring some along to the next cof60 shoot (Sunday 23rd Jan?)
