Bamboo backed Yew bow w/pics

Thanks Ryan. I've been shooting it everyday and so far the patch is holding fine. I don't think it is going to give me any trouble.
Auggie, this is easily the fastest bow I've ever made. The combination of high ring density yew and bamboo is truly amazing. This will be the bow I hunt elk with this year.

Have you killed an elk with a primitive bow yet Gordon? Looks like you've taken a nice blacktail. Good luck with that bow.

JD, I've not taken any animals with a primitive bow (or any bow for that matter). I came to hunting late in life and everything that I have managed to learn has been by trial and error. Unfortunately I'm much better at making bows that I am at using them :-[
