The week's hunting with pics - good friends and longbows

(1/1)

Ranger B:
Well, I got to hunt Wed - Sat. My day generally started at 3:30 a.m. and I took 12-2 for lunch then back out from 2:00 - 6:00 pm. It was a great week of shooting and it ended perfectly.
S.C. Mercer wanted me to meet the guy that started him shooting traditional kit so I met them for lunch and we pulled out the bows and shot some leaves. It was a blast to meet another good stickbow shooter. He had a boo backed osage bow that shot wonderfully. The little shooting spat got me to missing the Hackberry Hammer so I went home and shot it a bit. I think I may take it out on the next trip.
Below are some pics of the week.  I like to take pictures of myself in the tree in b/w so I see what the deer is seeing so that's me in the tree.

Ranger B:
Oh and that arrow in the tree is evidence of the squirrel that got away. Lucky rascal...

mullet:
Nice pictures, Jimmy. It lookslike you had a real good time.

Sparrow:
Maybe the squirrel got away, but the tree did'nt, looks to have a real straight bark pattern. Hmmmmm.....straight hardwood.  Nice pictures !  '  Frank

NTD:
