anyone have a Ruger old army?

 I've killed two hogs with this one shooting 43 grains of Pyrodex. I usually carry it when I'm hunting with my double barrel 12. I'll shoot .69 cal rnd ball in one barrel and a boatload of #3 buck shot in the other.

this is why i have always like sturm ruger  guns
not to mention they always seem a tad less expensive than the competitors

I have only been shooting 30 grain pyrodex pellets because thats all I had on hand.
Maybe I made the gun pooot because of the light load.

I'll get some loose pyrodex and measure out some bigger loads... how much is too much?

 I tried to load 45grn like I was told you could, but it was too hard to stuff it in. Are you shooting patched balls or 457'ns?
