Thanksgiving doe

(1/4) > >>

PeteC:
We had 4 doe days this weekend in east Texas.I tagged this one this morning.13 yards with a brand spankin' new osage bow that I just finished, and switchcane arrow ,tipped with a bandsaw trade point. She was quartered away, and had her front leg way back, which I did'nt notice, until, after what I thought was a perfect shot, suddenly did'nt look so great when she stretched out and headed for the hills.I gave her a little over an hour, since it was cold, then picked up a blood trail that went on and on.I probably covered a mile of windin' and weavin' trail, through some awful thick stuff, and a solid hour and a half of trackin' before I found her piled up.It was a 300+ yard drag out of the woods. This was  the furthest I've ever trailed a deer ,which, I ended up finding. God Bless

El Destructo:
